Upon the request of the President of The Polish War Invalids Union in Zamość, the Presidium of the Regional Polish War Invalids Union in Lublin has awarded Krystyna Rybińska-Smyk the Order of Merit of The Polish War Invalids Union in recognition of her service to the war and military invalids, the oppressed and their families.

This merit award was granted to the coordinator of the project for the victims of the III Reich by Mieczysław Dziedzic, the President of the Polish War Invalids Union, during a ceremony in the Battalion Club in Zamość on November 14. The recipient of the award expressed her gratitude for the recognition: “I am very grateful for the recognition of my work and efforts to make your life better, safer and more interesting. I also understand and appreciate the fact that this award goes also to the organisation I represent. The Volunteer Centre in Zamość will always strive to help and aid you.”
