Se­nior Com­mu­ni­ty Sta­tion, which be­gan ope­ra­ting this spring, has aro­used much in­te­rest in the lo­cal com­mu­ni­ty, par­ti­cu­lar­ly amongst tho­se in­di­vi­du­als who are ca­re­ta­kers for the­ir el­der­ly fa­mi­ly mem­bers. The need for Sta­tion’s ac­ti­vi­ties has also been expres­sed by so­cial wor­kers, fa­mi­ly as­si­stants and vo­lun­te­ers, which pro­ves bey­ond do­ubt that we need such in­i­tia­ti­ves in our so­cie­ty.
