Maria Mączka, a wartime child, was the special guest of the recent “Café of Memories”. Born in 1930, Maria remembers the September Campaign, the bleak days of the occupation, hunger, persecution, fear. Her father was arrested for his conspiratorial work and he died in Auschwitz in 1943.
