Doughnuts and cenci from Zamość patisseries dominated the Thursday menu in our Senior Community Station. All of this is due to tradition: this year the last Thursday before Lent fell on 4 February. On that day, in Poland and in the Catholic part of Germany it is allowed, and even advised, to binge on meat and fatty pastries. According to a superstition, he who does not eat a doughnut on Fat Thursday, will by dogged by misfortune all year. As one can see in the photos, our seniors will be very successful in 2016.
